Spectacular views of the Tetons combined with the most concentrated number of eagle’s nests on any section of the Snake River in Jackson Hole make this a fun family float. Abundant wildlife finds refuge among the willows in and around the braided channels. The number of Bald Eagles, Osprey, Mergansers and Herons on this section of the river is extraordinary. Raptures dominate this float, but keep your eyes open for Elk, Deer and the other animals that live within this ecosystem.

What To Expect?

This is a peaceful and serene trip where interpretation of Grand Teton National Park and wildlife viewing are the emphasis. A bird watcher’s paradise where Bald and Golden Eagles are easily spotted, as well as Herons, Trumpeter Swans, Pelicans, Western Waxwings, Hooded Mergansers and Kingfisher. The serene, yet powerful Snake River winds timelessly through the history of Jackson Hole. Beneath the geologic grandeur of the Grand Teton and the glacier-carved canyons, this river ecosystem is home to herds of elk, mule deer, and moose. With the passing sounds of the Snake River’s waters, the memories and wild tales of Native Americans, mountain men and pioneers of Jackson Hole can be captured. You will have the river virtually to yourself. Our rafts have exclusive rights to travel this section of river commercially, and we launch only three rafts per day. Our experienced and highly trained guides will deliver a fun and interpretive rafting experience.
What should I bring?
The summer months in the Tetons are generally warm and mild, however we like to be prepared. Warm jackets and sweaters are recommended, especially during early morning or evening floats. Life jackets are provided. Ponchos are on board in the event of a mountain shower. Cameras and binoculars are encouraged; however these items should be brought at your own risk. Suntan lotion, sunglasses, hats and a small dry bag for a camera are good river gear.
